Styling & Pairing Note:
What do we need to say - when you own a wrap like The Hearthside, you innately know what to do with it.
Chilly mornings when you are up with the birds, making coffee …. Running out to tackle errands and need to look presentable but not like you’re trying too hard. Tossed onto a travel tote for the invariably chilly airport A/C, and then rolled up as a pillow or headwrap when you need to catch some ZZZ’s before final descent.
But don't sleep on its serious styling possibilities. This wrap is a stand-in for the blazer, maybe on those days when you need the extra soft hug of Scottish cashmere, and aren’t up for feeling too stiff. Over your work trousers and crisp buttondown, it just lowers the gravitas ever so slightly - without sacrificing an iota of style or polish.
We ADORE the idea of pairing it with a matching Lounge Short, for a full “look” (dare we call it an avant garde saturday afternoon “suit”?) A weekend in late summer? Pair this set with your favorite band tee, jeans and sneakers, then later, when the sun is dropping, swap the tee for a silk cami and the sneakers for a pair of cute sandals and you’re ready for late afternoon wine and mahjong with the ladies, on the patio. Or layered over the Margate Turtleneck (BOTH coming soon), it's a fresh new twist on the classic "twinset".
Fortunate enough to find yourself at an island beach resort? Well - it already got you there (remember it was in your tote bag as armour against the airport & plane AC) now (with a shake and a little fluffing) it's ready for prime time. Layer it over that bias cut silk dress to just finish the look and protect your shoulders from stiff island breezes … or returning to the idea of cashmere Lounge Short - this time, perhaps with a saucy tube top - dangly earrings - and strappy heels.
We have a final thought: Pair it with your Cedar Skirt and tie the skirt’s sash over the Wrap, turning it into a proper top. Perhaps with a nice cami or fancy bra, just in case of *wardrobe malfunction*, intentional or not.
The Hearthside Wrap: its going places, with you. And who-brought-who is still up for debate.
