The Boathouse Top

Calling it “a top” feels a tad irreverent.  

It's such an undersimplification of a seductively flattering-yet-simple knit sweater.  

Ballerina neckline.  A dramatic dolman (“batwing”) sleeve that narrows to a slim elongated cuff hugging your forearm.  And the waistline - what IS that saucery at work? A decadently-easy fit through the midriff, then sly narrowing at the waist-to-hem to hug the hip. One is almost tempted to refer to it as a drop waist adjacent. 

And while knitwear isn't technically cut “on the bias”, it's a close cousin, with all the built-in curves happening.  Need we say more? Maybe about how to style and wear it, yes. [Read on, here]  But otherwise no, no notes.
